Wildwood, English Stone Manor
BEDFORD, NY

A retreat for a family of four seeking respite from the bustle of city life. The clients desired a serene escape that honored the architectural legacy of their grand home, reminiscent of charming cottages in the Cotswolds.

The restoration was approached with meticulous attention to detail, preserving the home’s original character while infusing it with modern comforts. A key feature of the manor was its abundance of fireplaces. In each room, the existing mantel and hearth were carefully replaced with custom marble, maintaining the home’s architectural integrity.

A key feature of the manor was its abundance of fireplaces. In each room, the existing mantel and hearth were carefully replaced with custom marble, maintaining the home’s architectural integrity.

Every room was thoughtfully redesigned to enhance the estate’s grandeur and adapt it to contemporary living. The scale of each space was meticulously considered, and new lighting was introduced to complement the carefully selected furnishings.

The project encompassed six bedrooms, dressing rooms, bathrooms, a guest cottage, and a pool house, transforming the estate into a lavish, comfortable, and enchanting home.

The final result is a testament to the seamless blend of historical preservation and modern design. The revitalized manor offers a tranquil haven where the family can escape from their busy lives and immerse themselves in the timeless beauty of their home.
