The Standish

BROOKLYN HEIGHTS, NY

Nestled in the heart of Brooklyn Heights, a historic New York neighborhood, lies a classic residence with a rich past. Originally built in 1903 as the Standish Arms Hotel, this architectural gem has been transformed into 29 charming apartments.

For this particular project, our design approach was heavily influenced by the building’s Beaux Arts-style architecture. We sought to create a seamless blend of traditional, mid-century, and modern design elements that reflects the passage of time in a cohesive narrative, while maintaining a fresh, inviting atmosphere. Our team paid meticulous attention to every detail, carefully layering textures and textiles to create a warm, modern aesthetic that promotes relaxation and tranquility. The end result is a space that feels both timeless and contemporary.

Despite the tight deadline, we were able to complete the entire project in just three months, from selection to design, renovation, and finally move-in coordination.
