West Village Townhouse
WEST VILLAGE, NYC

Our client, a prominent figure in the entertainment industry, entrusted us with the historic restoration and renovation of their captain’s townhouse, a structure that dates back to the early 19th century. The project involved creating a primary residence on the upper floors while designing a separate rental apartment on the basement level.

Collaborating closely with Hirsch Corti Architecture and Think Construction, we embarked on a journey to revitalize this historic gem. Our initial assessment revealed that the brick façade, a relic of the building’s rich history, had deteriorated significantly over time and required immediate attention.
To preserve the townhouse’s historical integrity, we enlisted the expertise of skilled artisans specializing in historical restoration to meticulously restore the frontage.

Inside, we sought to create a harmonious blend of traditional elements and modern aesthetics. By incorporating classic patterns and architectural details alongside unexpected contemporary focal points, we infused the space with a sense of drama and intrigue. The carefully curated palette reflects the vibrancy of city life while respecting the townhouse’s historical context.

The final result is a home that seamlessly marries the charm of the past with the comforts of the present, providing our client with a unique and inspiring living space that honors the building’s legacy.
